Another solution is what has been suggested... that all PR series exist in their own universe, so all they have to do is have them converge in one spot in time and cross over, this way you could have multiple Tommys at one place because they are from different realities. That would make Tzachor's theory work - although that theory bites, but it would work for that.

Wow is this awesome news. Yesterday after the Power Rangers panel at Comic-Con, Henshin Justice Unlimited’s Keith Justice spoke with Saban Brands President Elie Dekel. Keith asked him what would be done with the Gokaiger Sentai Footage. What he was told is the Goseiger would be used for Power Rangers Megaforce in 2013, then Gokaiger footage would be used in 2014, for the tentatively titled “Power Rangers Super Megaforce”.

Plus, Fury Diamond from RangerCrew revealed that footage of Gokaioh (Gokaiger’s Megazord) was used in teaser footage shown at the Licensing Expo, along with Legend War footage.

So we will be getting Gokaiger footage a year sooner than expected. However, the episode count has still not changed. 2013 is set to have 20 normal episodes & 2 holiday specials, and 2014 will have 20 episodes with 2 holiday specials too.

So there you go, first Megaforce season is Goseiger, second season of Megaforce is Gokaiger.

Kinda Funny how we are all theorizing (myself included) about how they will work out the Legend War when realistically, we probably aren't even going to get a real explanation. Not a canonical explanation anyway that adheres to every piece of PR Logic. I just think my idea adheres to canon a bit better then just dressing 4 stunt actors up and calling them all Tommy.

If they were able to do the Morphing bit, it would add that little extra bit that seperates our PR Legend War from Super Sentai's Legend War, and I also think it would be a nice shout-out to the old fans who watched Tommy go through all those Suit Changes. And it could still manage to keep some Legend War footage intact. White MMPR fighting, The Five Zyurangers push their way through all the Zangyack and surround Tommy who switches his dial and morphs into MMPR Green to adhere to the footage.

You're right in regards to the possibility of likely not getting any explanation in regards to the Legendary War but really all that is important is an explanation with the Tommy powers as well as SPD. The others aren't necessary as important.

Why would they come to protect a dimension which isn't even theirs?

Probably because they're Rangers and it's a Ranger's Code of Honor to help others.
Time Force for example likely isn't supposed to time travel but they do so in the event that it's needed.
Same with SPD although SPD doesn't have the knowledge to time travel freely.
