Why was Astronema more serious then the other UAE?
Most of the UAE villains were comedic and whacky. But Astronema was very serious. She even was measured when she lost.

She could play the long game because she had Specter's support. She was his heir and he knew she was more competent then the rest or the UAE. Her job was really to slow down the Space Rangers and interrupt their search for Zordon. This is why she didn't mind losing a little bit. Its ironic she acted less spoiled when she had everything handed to her.

This is why Astronema was the best villian. She was the first not to be played for laughs. Which made her a much more interesting character.

I think some of it was by accident since Melody took time to get used to the role. As she was used to modeling.

Specter made sure she was more serious. She was given to Ecliptor for that reason. Who was pretty serious anyway.
