The Quasar Sabers

I think the ancient worriers placed them there after the big war. The villagers were decendents of an expedition to get the sabers. The villaige remained small but there could have been other villages on the planet. Perhaps the legend had been forgotten by all but the original village.

The creators of the Lost Galaxy placed the Sabers there. And forged the saber that ended up in the hands of Megna Defender.

I don't think we will ever know who put them there. Its part of what makes it a legend. Fantasy doesn't always need to explain itself.

The Magna Defender never acknowledges having anything to do with the Sabers if he had then he would have mentioned it before he sacrificed himself.

I believe that the Anicent Galaxy Rangers were a sub-group that Zordon had aided to help fight in different parts of the space regions. When their time was over, they had Zordon put their powers into the swords with a spell that those worthy of the Powers could draw them out, but only in times of great need.

That theory makes a lot of sense. It would explain why there were morphers built into the sabers.

The swords were forged by the forebears of the Mirinoi civilization after a great war they were almost wiped out. Only the sabers and a few people remained to rebuild. Not much different than some of already mentioned.

Phantom Ranger was too busy and had no access to the Lost Galaxy. The Quasar Sabers were probably placed there by someone that had to do with the guardian of the Galaxy Book. Since he would have been able to enter the Lost Galaxy.
