Princess Serenity mentioning God

One thing I'm wondering. When Princess Serenity mentioned "this is God's law". I got a question. The age of the Silver Millennium takes place in a time long, long before monotheistic religions were around. What did she mean? I mean, it takes place thousands and thousands of years ago unless she might be referring to ancient pagan religions but I think the Silver Millennium takes place before pagan religions existed too and I highly doubt she would be referring to dark gods such as Queen Metallia, Pharaoh 90 and Wiseman.

Many religions refer to the beings they worshio as God. Its not farfetched to believe that there would be religion on the Moon. Even a monothestic one.
