The problem was Mack's death wish. It got tired and made him feel like a douch. Mack was too much of a whiner. Hartford deserved some flack. But Mack went way overboard and came off as ungrateful. I mean Hartford did still gave him life. Mack was all about himself.

This was my favorite part of OO too. I love that it took several episodes to resolve the plot. The resolution reminded me of Pinnochio.
