Where's the true evil?

I guess this question would go for anime in general, but what's with the high turnout of bad guys gone good?

Doing the calculations in my head, Neflite fell in love with Molly and was killed for switching sides. All four sisters of the Dark Moon defected from Rubeus' control eventually. Dr. Tomo and Hotaru were both possessed by evil spirit servants of Pharaoh 90. The Animal Eye trio returned to their beastial forms and hid out from Zirconia in Pegasus' domain, followed by the four acrobats of the Dark Moon Circus rejecting Queen Nehelenia's employment (even going so far as to become Sailor Scouts themselves in the manga).

That's just a few examples of people who just somehow get their heads twisted on wrong, rather than actually desiring the havoc they cause. Sure, it's moralistic, but is it really that entertaining after the first time?
