Default Why did Rita and Zedd give up the Earth?

Zedd and Rita seemed like they were poised to renew their invasion of Earth after Zeo. Yet Divatox became the main villain and Zedd/Rita seemed to give up on Earth.

That's a good question but the way that I see is that there could be 2 reasons either that was when Rita became pregnant with Thrax or they were ordered to stop their assaults on the planet.

Dark Spector must have pulled them a lot earlier than Divatox. Thats probably one of the reasons Rita hated Divatox.

Maybe they found a new planet to conquer and were sick of our Rangers?

I always assumed allies of the Machine Empire chased them away. Could have even been Mondo and Machina themselves. Since we saw them in operation in Space. There had to be a good reason. Since Zedd and Rita wanted Earth bad.
