I can see where they were trying to recapture what hey had with Tommy. But Andros ended up being a very different character.

I could see where they went with an actor with a similar look. Perhaps thinking maybe they could make lightening strike twice. But I also agree he was a very different character from Tommy. So props to the writers.

I never liked Andros. Seemed too emo to me. But thats just me. Of course I was also pissed TJ got demoted.

Every decision doesn't come down to money. The older cast wasn't going to stay around much longer. It was inevitable that they would leave somehow.

As Doug Sloan said about himself, he probably didn't want them to put down that he was in Power Rangers on his tombstone. In other words he wanted to do other things too.
