Re: Why didn't they just keep Titanium a villain longer?
I agree with Matt. It just sho why using the senti footage as the basis for everything is important. They were smart to stick with the Sentai villains and not waste time with an original villain. Too bad they wasted their time making their own Ranger.

I didn't think it was a waste of time with making their own Ranger granted it should've been done better but I did like how he wasn't one of the main villains like someone had wanted.

I find it pretty insulting that PR thought they could make their own Ranger as good a sentai. No wonder they failed miserably. Just like they did with the Spirit Rangers years later.

You do know that there was two different production teams and ownership groups?

Re: Why didn't they just keep Titanium a villain longer?
he's a Sentai snob so what do you expect? He's going to trash anything and everything Power Rangers does if it's not precisely 100% down to the letter that Sentai did... regardless of whether Power Rangers did something awesome or not.
I personally found Ransik to be an awesome villain and the actor definitely sold it as well but that Sentai snob would likely just trash him because Don (who we know as Gluto) wasn't the leader. On paper Master Org was an interesting villain and the story that they gave him was interesting as well but the actor was just bad. |

There was a rumor that Judd was working on Jungle Fury during the writers strike. So in a sense there were similarities between LR and JF production teams.

Yes but then there was talk that the Judd rumor wasn't true. So there is no way of knowing if Lynn had any part of Jungle Fury.

I wonder if Titanium was just a prototype for a new Ranger team that Fairwheather adapted for the Lightspeed Team?

More likely the prototype for the Lightspeed Powers that had to be shelve since it was too powerful.
