I took a look at Kenner's Wikipedia page and VR Troopers was indeed something in a previous license but as part of a merger with Hasbro the Kenner company closed.

yea that'll be weird since Toei and Bandai of Japan will still have their partnership.

yea I would have to agree that this isn't a move that Saban Brands made lightly in fact I would have to agree with PRangerX that someone had just outbid them for the license.
