was the Sentai used for PRLS also a military theme like the American "translation" was?

I think they did. But the big different were the GoGo V were siblings like the Magiranger. Their Father was their mentor. The demons were also a family in the sentai too.

No it wasn't it was more seen as a rescue theme there wasn't any type of military aspect to GoGoV. However PRangerX is correct with all 5 GoGoV members being family as well as their Dad being their Mentor.

Something else I forgot to mention is that it was generally the Dad and a robot who made the technology.
