I know this is me being sort of judgemental, but if he does turn out to be the red ranger, I won't be too happy, he doesn't look the part.

On linearranger's website, linearranger.com/MysticForce there is a link to the casting call, and they say they're looking for someone who looks "all american - think Nick Lachey". So I doubt he's red. I can maybe see him as blue or black though.

Actually, if you havn't seen the casting call, it's been updated with a scene with the yellow and blue/black rangers. It gives a good idea of what they'll be like.


Oh yeah, and I'm not too happy that the megazord's weapons are a shovel and a pick...

The casting sheets are never useful in determing the character will be like in the final production.

That shovel and pick work with the theme, plus they combine into a sword.

Ohhhh, I didn't know they made a sword.

There is no building/mining theme to the new season of Sentai period. They are adventurers. These adventurers seek items known as ‘Precious’ in Boukenger. What they’ll be known in Power Rangers is something that I am uncertain. Their weapons are not mining tools either. If you take time to watch/read Boukenger you’ll get a better understanding.

To quote a few lines from Go Go Sentai Boukenger:
