Wes was the crybaby
That Mack thread inspired me to post this. Wes is the crybaby when I think of Power Rangers. I mean poor baby his Dad is too rich and makes him sit in board meetings. And then he acts like he is entitled to be Red Ranger because its fun and he looks like Alex..
And he can't understand why Eric thinks he is a jerk and won't just do what he says. He even makes early season Mr. Collins looks sympathic at times. How about how he tried to take the heat off himself in "Trust and Triumph" to make it about Jen's trust issues. When he let his issues with Wes sxre things up. Jen called him out on stuff like this and Wes acted like she was being too hard on him. Excuse me if she had a harden criminal to catch. But Alex was the only one to fully see through Wes. But even he lets him be Red Rangers for some unknown reason. |
Re: Wes was the crybaby
His father was a jerk in the beginning. And so was Eric. Wes was nice to everyone and wanted to do the right thing. He shouldn't have called Jen out but she did have her own issues . Nobody should say Wes was perfect.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
Wes was a deeply flawed person in the beginning and became a better person by the end. But his real strength was that he wasn't brainwashed by Time Force like the others and could think outside the box. This is a big part of why Alex tried to get rid of him so bad.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
Its called being a confused young adult trying to find your place in the world when you Dad has your whole life planned out for you. If Wes was q crybaby he wouldn't have risked giving up everything to defy his dad and go on his own.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
He didn't seem like a crybaby. He just seemed like a bad Red Ranger. He was more cut out for Blue.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
Wes actually had a lot of adversity to overcome for a rich young man.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
I thought Wes was actually very likeable..Eric was unlikable but that's was done on purpose.

Re: Wes was the crybaby

Re: Wes was the crybaby
I think Wes was nice but Eric was pretty mean. At least he got nicer by the end.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
Wes was a great character. And no doubt has a big role a long with Eric in Hexagon.
|
Re: Wes was the crybaby
Actually Eric was the one that felt more like a crybaby. That cut scene where he confronts Wes during Mr. Collins hospital stay shows this.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
I'd say that Wes was more a little selfish and naive.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
I don't think so. He put his money where is mouth was and went out on his own when his dad crossed the line. If he was a crybaby he would have been a hypocrite..As in stayed to take his father's money while criticizing him for his greed..

Re: Wes was the crybaby
He let Eric get in his head and was boring with a silver spoon in his mouth. But I would say he handled himself well for someone from a pampered existence to become a Ranger and give up his pampered life at the same time.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
Wes was always a rich kid with a heart of gold. He just felt trapped by his father's influence and needed the courage to break away. Getting involved in the Rangers and something bigger than himself ended up given him this courage.

Re: Wes was the crybaby
He did complain too much.
|
Re: Wes was the crybaby
He was a major pain and disrespected Jen"s authority way too much.
|
Re: Wes was the crybaby
He was only really a crybaby in the first few episodes.
