Were the base Megaforce powers were the base Megaforce powers all indicative of the Animal Spirits?

We saw in the Casey tribute episode that Jake and Emma's animal spirits corresponded to their Megaforce animal motifs. Jake had the Snake spirit, and Emma had the Phoenix spirit. Does this mean that the same is true for the other Rangers? Does Troy have the Red Dragon spirit? Does Noah have the Blue Shark spirit?

If so, do the Megaforce powers act similarly to the Jungle Fury suits, in that the suit adapts the spirit to a suit design? For example, if RJ were to use a Megaforce Morpher, would he morph into a Purple Wolf variation of the Megaforce suit?

I've been thinking about this, and I'm wondering whether Gosei specifically needed teenagers with these animal spirits (or at least one Ranger with a specific animal spirit), so they could access various artifacts. For example, did Gosei need a leader with a Red Dragon Spirit specifically, so he could claim and control the Dragon Sword?

People wondered at the time it aired why Noah was the only one to sense the Red Lion Zord on Animaria. Could it have been because one of the Wild Zords was a Blue Shark, and Noah having a Blue Shark spirit gave him some kind of spiritual/mental link to the Wild Zords?

And could this have been the reason why they were predominantly in their Megaforce suits? Was it essentially training, and strengthening their animal spirit? Not to the degree and mastery of the Pai Zhua, but certainly enough that it benefited them in some way, despite Gosei never being clear about it.

There's also a potential link to two of the New Powers - Changeman and Dairanger. Both of these also have a red dragon ranger, and a pink phoenix one.

It'd be cool if that were the case, especially with Noah being more linked to the Shark Zord in any way.

But all of this is really just fanwanky, speculating on something that gave up seriousness and good symbolism with Samurai's first episode is a bit far feched. I'd bet against it, the writers didn't care for the plot and continuity but you're free to go ahead and think up all that detailed stuff.

That's a good theory. Fits the on-screen evidence and explains why those particular characters - and why Gosei wasn't doing anything for years. "Moltor and Flurious are attacking, now to assign oh damn it the last blue shark spirit got hit by a bus." Good thing Troy moved when he did, eh?
