Does it feel odd that Andros was the one to shatter the tube?

I love the Space Rangers and the episode itself. But did anyone feel odd that it was Andros shattering the tube? It just like it should have been Tommy. Some of the dialogue Andros used about being an old friend would have made sense. It just seemed like it would have been more fitting for the end of what was the five year story arch of PR. Even if a lot of it was by accident.

I wish this kind of world building in PR. Andros was the best option they had though. And Andros obviously knew Zordon from before. He communicated with him from K0 35 and outer space.

Yest the MMPR Ranger or at least the first Turbo Rangers should have been the ones to go to Space. They should have been there to end the Zordon Era.

I can't picture Katherine and Tanya arguing about chores.

It also wouldn't have made sense for Tanya to have a meddlesome Grandmother, since she she was raised by the African Tribe when her parents disappeared. So it's safe to say she didn't have a relationship with her Grandparents.

Uh, thats one episode of Space I wouldn't mind being erased. Grandma Matchmaker was cringe inducing. The idea of a matchmaking Gramma doesn't relate to our culture as much. Since it was an ancient Japanese Tradition at one point.

I really liked Deltared's old fan fic rewrites. He created the character of Matt Corbot as a child that takes over for Zhane as Silver. He winds up shattering the tube and is deemed some type of chosen one. Years later in the LG remake he become Delta Red Ranger and there is this whole arch that continues in the sequel series Delta Red.

DeltaRed renamed the Galaxy Rangers Delta Rangers. Since the Quasar Sabers are called Delta Sabers in his version of LG.

I am so glad Tommy didn't get the honor. It was high time Tommy didn't get to be the hero. He had enough fame as White Ranger alone. I was glad he finally left the show.

I thought about that in the past. But at the end of the day I loved the Space Rangers and the season as it is. So its hard to wish away the team. It always is interesting to think what might have been though. If the first Turbos stayed on and went into Space.

It would have been different since I can't see the old characters being as realistic as the Space Rangers seemed. The way they acted seemed less cookie cutter and their dialogue was different. OF course a lot of that was probably Judd and Jackie writing most of the episodes.

I know i said I wanted Tommy gone by that point. But I can't deny half wishing he stuck around to be demoted to Blue. It would have been so funny. But then again they probably would have still found a way to make him hog the spotlight.

I could have seen Tommy going to Eltar to help Zordon. There probably wouldn't have been time to include this in the series, let alone the finale

Their should have at least been a morphed scene of the Zeos fighting off the UAE in another part of Angel Grove.

They should have at least included a morphed scene if the Zeo Rangers battling some of the other baddies. They did use Gold and Phantom. So it was doable with stunties.

The weirder scene for me was the Rangers revealing their idenities and Bulk/Skull finally figuring them out. It just didn't mean the same since they had only been around the new team for a short time. It would have been much more powerful to see the Zeo Rangers reveal their identities to them.

I could see where someone would think that. But I thought that scene really worked. It gave me chills when they revealed their identities. A lot of it was because the Rangers just never did that in those days. It felt like the last episode of the whole series to me.

The funny part is that they probably thought they were the Rangers the whole time. Knowing Bulk and Skull, they wouldn't think to do the math. Since the Space Rangers were much to young in 93 to be Rangers then.

No way! Tommy was finally gone and didn't need to upstage the Space Rangers. I will take Andros over Tommy any day.

In a lot of ways it was. Power Rangers basically became an American Version of Sentai after that point. And it had mixed results at best. The show just wasn't the same after Space. In a lot of ways MMPR-Space was one series and everything else is a bunch of side adventure spin offs.

In a perfect world the originals should have stayed through Space. It would have been a cool storyline. I wonder if that was the original plan?

Re: Does it feel odd that Andros was the one to shatter the tube?

PR never had a long term plan, especially back then. A lot of things were a happy accident. They only decided to do a Space Season because they thought Megaranger was a Space Sentai. C2D happened because they wanted to get on last use for the old suits that were going bad.
