VR troopers was orginally pitched to Fox Kids as Cybertron. As a vichule for JDF. Fox Kids declined to pick up the show and plans changed to what became the VR Troopers show we know today. Saban Entertainment was able to sell the show in first run syndication. The show only lasted two seasons before being cancelled. Beetleborgs debuted the year after. It used another Metal Hero Series for footage but was in fact picked up by Fox Kids.
Would VR Troopers have had more staying power with Fox Kids behind it? Or would have it just lasted a few years anyway? We know Masked Rider was picked up by Fox and only lasted one season.
