I love Digimon when they go back and tell you where the story really begins.
We see exactly when Frigimon found and began to care for Ikuto, and that she and Mercurimon knew each other well. I can see why Ikuto loved her so much.
Masaru's father kicked serious butt with that Digi-Soul of his. He socked SaberLeomon not once, but twice, and managed to earn Mercurimon's respect, that was sweet.
Now, I don't speak Japanese, so I'm not sure exactly what became of Masaru's father after he made peace with Mercurimon, or where Yushima and Kamemon are supposed to be now (though I'm guessing Mercurimon took them out).
And man, Kurata's a serious jerk. First he takes revenge on the entire Digital World just because a Lynxmon attacked him, now he's killed Mercurimon so he can rule the Digital World? The guy's lost it.
Amazing how this one episode managed to make me care so much about Mercurimon, and now he's dead. I thought I'd had enough of that this season with SaberLeomon...
